Songs produced by artificial intelligence will be labeled on YouTube Music

YouTube Music is launching a new labeling system to identify songs created using artificial intelligence. Users will be able to learn whether AI was used in the music they listen to and its role in the production process. The rapid spread of artificial intelligence usage in the digital music world has prompted music platforms to take new measures. YouTube Music, under Google, announced a new labeling system on October 14, 2026, which will make it easier to distinguish AI-supported music. With the new application, users will be able to obtain more information about whether the songs they listen to were produced with artificial intelligence. The AI label will appear on songs According to YouTube's statement, songs where generative AI plays a significant role will display an informational label on the music player. Users can tap the label to access additional information on how AI was used in music production. The new system is planned to be gradually expanded to the main YouTube application.
